As an interdisciplinary collaboration, Housing the Human develops methods for a practical futurology — a paradox that it seeks to solve by developing prototypes that can be experienced concretely. What might it mean to house the human — today and in the future?

On July 20, 2018, Housing the Human is kicking off at the innovation festival Demanio Marittimo KM-278 near Ancona/Italy. 14 initiatives, offices, and individuals will put their concepts to the test in a night of discussion with architects, designers, curators, and futurologists.

Five selected prototypes will be realized through a one-year-long process. Throughout all steps of development, the collaborating partners will provide a stage for sharing the prototypes with a broader public, and for investigating them in discussions, performances, and workshops:
