Housing the Human is an interdisciplinary collaboration of five European institutions and organizations aiming to develop methods for a practical futurology—a paradox that the project seeks to address by producing prototypes that can be experienced and tested.

Five selected prototypes will be realized in a one-year development and testing process.

Housing the Human works closely with an expanding network of advisors who offer guidance on the concepts.

The finished prototypes will be unveiled at the Housing the Human Festival, October 18–19, 2019, at radialsystem. The program also includes a lecture and Bed-In by Beatriz Colomina, and the game experiment After Money.

The collaborating partners will provide a stage for sharing the prototypes with a broader public, and for investigating them in discussions, performances, and workshops:
